Wellness is so much more than an annual exam with a provider. It is about creating and sustaining a lifestyle that helps you thrive.

Wellness visits consist of gynecological services, including:

Annual blood work

Pap smear

STI testing

Preconception counseling

Reproductive counseling

Family planning

Counseling on nutrition, body movement, intimacy & longevity.

These visits are conducted in the comfort and privacy of your home and range from 90-120 minutes. Any bloodwork is collected and billed directly to insurance.

Pregnancy & Childbirth are sacred times in our lives that deserve to be honored as the rite of passage they are.

Each prenatal visit creates space to prepare for your birth. During the visit, an assessment of you & your baby’s well-being with vital signs, fetal heart tones, fundal height & any necessary lab-work is done along with discussion surrounding nutrition, body movement, stress levels & coping in a comfortable, warm setting.

Prenatal visits begin at 8-10 weeks gestation with monthly visits until 28 weeks, then biweekly visits until 36 weeks when a home visit is done along with other members of your birth team (doula, photographer, friends or any family that will be attending) & then weekly until babe is born! Each of these visits is an hour long.

Wildflower Birth & Wellness requires an anatomy scan at 18-20 to confirm placental location & fetal anatomy. I also require comprehensive birth education course completion.

Once your birthing time comes we connect via phone to find the best time for me to join you in labor. I will arrive to your home accompanied by a birthing assistant. I work with other midwives, registered nurses, and experienced birthing assistants trained in neonatal resuscitation & emergency skills.

The immediate postpartum period consists of the first 2-4 hours postpartum where I stay at your home with the birth assistant to monitor both mom & baby. We ensure vital signs are stable, baby has fed & that you have as well! We clean up & sneak out creating time for you to bond as a family.

Your postpartum journey begins following the birth of your baby & lasts long after those first six weeks!

Postpartum is a pivotal time for your new family. At Wildflower Birth & Wellness, supporting this time is especially important. Postpartum follow-up visits include 24-48 hours postpartum, 3-5 days postpartum, 2 weeks postpartum, 6-8 weeks postpartum, 12 weeks postpartum & 6 months postpartum.

Giving birth in hospital or birthing center & wanting to strengthen your postpartum care? Wildflower Birth & Wellness offers concierge, in-home postpartum care as a stand-alone service. These two-hour long visits can be booked anytime between 24 hours after discharge & up until one year postpartum. These visits can be planned in advance or once your baby has already arrived! When booking packages in advance, I include a prenatal session to discuss desires & expectations for postpartum, along with guidance on planning for nutrition, rest & visitors.
